Retirement Living

What is a Retirement Village?

A retirement village is a residential complex usually occupied by residents who are over the age of 55 and who have retired from full time employment. The residents enter into a contract with the operator of the village to occupy premises in the village by purchasing.

Retirement villages are covered by legislation that protects prospective and current residents. Before you move into a retirement village you must be given full information on all the fees and charges involved and a clear description of what services are being provided for those fees. NSW Fair Trading produces a helpful booklet “Retirement Village Living” that can be obtained from www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au or by phoning 13 32 20.

Quirindi Retirement Homes has two retirement villages. “The Villas”  comprising of 6x2 bedroom units and “The Gables” comprising of 9x2 bedroom and 3x1 bedroom units.
